Overview

A journey through the Himalayas

A slower, spiritual trip focused on Lhasa’s monasteries and pilgrim circuits, with a trip to Namtso, a vast turquoise lake at 4,718 m below the Nyenchen Tanglha range.

Four days in and around Lhasa: the Potala, Jokhang, Drepung, Sera and the Ganden kora. Drive over the Largen La (5,190 m) to Namtso, stay nearby in Damxung, then return to Lhasa via the Yangpachen hot springs.

Travellers who want Tibet without long road days. Walking is light, but the lake and pass are high, so good health is needed.

Why book with us: A licensed Tibetan guide, unhurried days for acclimatisation and a Spanish-speaking tour leader on request.

Difficulty & fitness Moderate

5 to 7 hours a day with some steep sections. Suits active beginners.
