Overview

A journey through the Himalayas

A technical climb on one of the most recognisable peaks in the Himalaya. The Southwest Ridge mixes rock, snow and steep ice, all on fixed ropes, with Everest and Lhotse in view from the summit.

Fly to Lukla and trek via Namche and Pangboche to base camp at 4,600 m. After a puja and rope training, you make rotations to Camp 1 (5,700 m) and Camp 2 (5,950 m), then go for the summit, often via Camp 3 (6,300 m). Trek out to Lukla.

Climbers who have already been above 6,000 m and can use fixed ropes, jumar and abseil on steep ground. It is not a first peak; try Island Peak or Lobuche first.

Why book with us: Experienced climbing Sherpas, a Spanish-speaking guide on the approach, and a small team of up to 8 climbers.

Difficulty & fitness Strenuous

Remote, very high terrain. For fit and experienced trekkers.
