Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La: the full Khumbu loop
Overview
The hardest and most complete trek in the Everest region. You cross three passes above 5,300 m and see Gokyo’s turquoise lakes, Everest Base Camp and the view from Kala Patthar in one loop.
Fly to Lukla and walk to Namche Bazaar, with a rest day there. Head west through Thame to cross the Renjo La to Gokyo, then cross the Ngozumpa glacier and the Cho La to Lobuche. After Base Camp and Kala Patthar, cross the Kongma La to Chukhung and return via Tengboche and Namche.
Fit, experienced trekkers. Expect 6–8 hours on pass days, steep scree and possible snow on the Cho La. It is not a first trek; do Everest Base Camp or Gokyo first.
Why book with us: A licensed Khumbu guide who speaks English or Spanish, daily oximeter checks, two rest days and a spare day in Kathmandu for Lukla flight delays.
Remote, very high terrain. For fit and experienced trekkers.
