Pokhara
Pkhara is just 199 km west from kathmandu. There are several tourist bus to offer good service for tourist and it's also possible to reach by Air. it takes 6 to 8 hours by bus and 45 minutes by air. It is popular city after kathmandu because of its beauty, relaxed atmosphere and spectacular views of the annapurna and manasalu himal, as well as the splendor of the unclimbed machhapuchre Himal. The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for trail riding around lakes and rivers and towards the mountains. The riding, however, is less consistent or contiguous then that around kathmandu valley, so although there are fewer trails, villages and temples to explore, the rides are more tranquil and it is the get way to some of the most popular long distance treks in Nepal. it has mild weather, clean air, snowcapped mountain reflected in a sheltered lake.The first western tourist came to pokhara in early 1970s then they discovered the perfect venue for doing the things. they were best at getting stoned, eating, growing their hair and talking. They came for week but they stayed a month because of pokhara's natural beauty. It is 855m above from sea level and 400m. lower from kathmandu. As a tourist destination pokhara is being a best attraction place so most of the Nepal visitor want to spend more time in pokhara then other part of Nepal.

Fewa lake and devid falls:-Fewa lake is known as a fewa tal. this lake is second largest lake in Nepal. Boating is one of the most popular part in pokhara in fewa lake. fewa lake is prime attraction and focal point of pokhara visitors. A day can be enough for boating at fewa lake. in fewa lake there is a small island with the double roofed varahi temple dedicated to lord vishnu in his boar incarnation. devid falls is also
known as patale chango. it is about 2 km southwest from pokhara airport on the siddhartha highway.
 
Bharahi temple
Pokhara's most famous Hindu temple the two tiered pagoda style barahi mandir stand on a small island near the ratna mandir( royal palace), founded in the 18th century, the temple is dedicated to god vishnu in his boar incarnation but it's been extensively renovated over the years. rowboats to the temple leave from near the city bus stand in lake side.
 
Seti River
The seti river flows right through pokhara and in places it runs completely underground, some time
dropping to 50m below ground level. There's a good view of this elusive river from the bridge at the northern end of mahendrapul. More dramatic viewpoint is just beyond the airport.
 
Around Pokhara
For those who has limited time, small child or less enthusiasm for walking, the area around pokhara has some of best walk range from half day to two three day.
   
Sarankot
 
sarankot, at an elevation of 1592m, is most popular short excursion from pokhara. This walk can be a good stroll to admire the mountain views. From sarankot can see the panoramic view of dhaulagiri annapuran, machhapuchhre himal. There are a number of routes to go sarangkot but the good way is from binda basini temple.
   
Rupa Lake (Rupa Tal)
 
These two tal (lake) are the second and third largest lake in pokhara. these lakes are 15 km far from main city of pokhara and bus are available from pokhara.
 
World peace pagoda
The newly constructed world peace pagoda which crowns the ridge across the fewa lake at an elevation of 1113m, providing on of the most satisfying short hike in pokhara. This is the largest buddhist stupa on the ridge over looking fewa lake. there are couple of way to visit the world peace pagoda are raniban and a boat trip on fewa lake. The view from top are phenomenal worth full. one option is to start with an early morning paddle to the village of anadu on the western shore of the lake and then clim step track to the stupa. After enjoying the view of mountain, lake and town we can return through raniban and visit devid falls.
 
Museum
   
Pokhara Museum
 
Pokhara  has three museum. pokhara museum is one of the best museum. It is at north of the bus station on the main road. It has exhibits on local history. Most interesting are the ethnic exhibits covering rituals of village life to war medals.
   
Natural history museum
 
This museum is prithiv narayan university. it has some interesting although dated exhibits on the environmental problem of the regain.
   
International mountain museum
 
The newest cultural off caring in pokhara, this is vast museum is devoted to the mountain of Nepal and the mountaineers who climbed them. Inside you can see original gear from many of the first Himalayan ascents, as well as displays on the history, culture geology, fauna and flora of the himalaya. the museum is south of the airstrip near the himalaya eye hospital.
